The Greater Pine Island Chamber of Commerce is looking for potential candidates for five open Board of Directors positions.<\/p>\n
The chamber nominating committee is seeking nominations for the three year term of 2026 through 2028.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The nomination period will be open until Jan. 12, 2026.<\/p>\n
Serving on the chamber\u2019s Board of Directors is an excellent way to become more engaged with the operations of the chamber and the local business community.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Elections will take place during the Annual Dinner on Monday Jan. 26, 2026.<\/p>\n
Board Member responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Serve a minimum of 1 three-year term on the Board.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Abide by the bylaws of the GPICC.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Attend and actively participate in the meetings of the board, including special meetings, to ensure the decisions made during board meetings best represent the membership.<\/p>\n
Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Help ensure effective fiscal controls and accountability.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Attend as many GPICC activities as possible.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Participate in one or more of the GPICC annual events.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Act as a positive ambassador for the GPICC.<\/p>\n
