In the final weeks of Dawoud Bey\u2019s Evergreen film installation at Orlando Museum of Art, the artist comes to Orlando to talk about his work for a not-to-be-missed afternoon. <\/p>\n

Bey converses with OMA curator Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon on themes of \u201cLandscape, History, and Memory.\u201d The free artist talk on Access for All Day<\/a> also includes a poetry performance from Justin Lang.<\/p>\n

Bey\u2019s Evergreen is a triptych video installation of haunting footage Bey filmed on the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvergreen is the most undisturbed plantation landscape in the country,\u201d Bey told Nola.com<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s a presence that you feel when you\u2019re at Evergreen that is undeniable. There is a spirit that clings to that site more heavily than any of the other sites.\u201d He\u2019ll tell you more this week, surely.<\/p>\n
