\nAlligators and crocodiles are the topic of one free Winter Refuge Program starting January at the J.N. \u201cDing\u201d Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDing\u201d Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS) provided the following updates for the J.N. \u201cDing\u201d Darling National Wildlife Refuge, at 1 Wildlife Drive, Sanibel:<\/p>\n

\u2013 The free Winter Refuge Programs will take place from Jan. 5 through April 6.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The deadline for submissions for the \u201cDing\u201d Darling-Theodore Cross High School Photo Contest is Jan. 15.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The free Winter Lecture Series will run from Jan. 22 through April 16.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Go Wild for \u201cDing\u201d \u2014 The Legacy fundraiser will be held on Feb. 4 at The Community House on Sanibel. For tickets or more information, visit dingdarlingsociety.org\/go-wild<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The DDWS Distinguished Speaker Series will present conservationist Jeff Corwin on March 13 at The Community House on Sanibel. \u2013 Celebrate the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary with the refuge on July 4.<\/p>\n
