NORTH REDINGTON BEACH — After delays including architectural revisions and this year’s hurricanes, the Redingtons Emergency Medical Services building is under construction adjacent to North Redington Beach Town Hall’s parking lot. Mayor Jay Super provided progress updates during the Dec. 11 Town Commission meeting.

The station will serve North Redington Beach, Redington Shores and Redington Beach.

Super, who met with construction managers Dec. 10, said the estimated completion date is March 27.

“I think they are being overly optimistic,” Super said. “A more realistic expectation would be Christmas 2026.”

The EMS building will house Redington Shores and North Redington Beach public works departments. The top floor will accommodate living quarters for firefighters, and a fully functioning fire truck — without a ladder — will be stationed at the site.

Utility undergrounding delayed

The town is still awaiting an easement signature from Gull Harbor to proceed with the utility undergrounding project, Super said.

Two ordinances adopted

The commission unanimously adopted ordinances establishing procedures for certified recovery residences and updating wireless communication antenna regulations to comply with federal and state standards.

Both ordinances, which passed 5-0 on first reading in November, passed 3-0 on final reading. Commissioner Corey Thornton and Vice Mayor Kevin Kennedy were absent.

Holiday tree lighting returns

The town’s annual tree lighting ceremony returned Dec. 5 after last year’s cancellation due to hurricanes that damaged Harold Radcliffe Park’s electrical system.

Commissioner Rick Nagrabski played Santa while Commissioner John Messmore provided hot chocolate and cookies from his restaurant, Sweet Sage Cafe.

Attendees said the lights seemed brighter than ever.

NORTH REDINGTON BEACH — After delays including architectural revisions and this year’s hurricanes, the Redingtons Emergency Medical Services…

[13
2773,3124,596,47255,47254,202,204,203,199,201,200
post-86691","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-st-petersburg","tag-emergency-service","tag-north-redington-beach","tag-pinellas-county","tag-redington-beach-town-hall","tag-redington-emergency-medical-service","tag-st-pete","tag-st-pete-headlines","tag-st-pete-news","tag-st-petersburg","tag-st-petersburg-headlines","tag-st-petersburg-news
["GET
