Miami might be known for its big, bold, nonstop nightlife scene, but Little River\u2014the coolest neighborhood in Miami<\/a>\u2014is about to get something more intimate and intentional. Lion’s Den<\/a>, set to open this New Year’s Eve above the highly anticipated Fooq’s, will offer an experience dedicated to high-quality sound and chill vibes.<\/p>\n

From the team behind Fooq’s and We All Gotta Eat hospitality founders David and Josh Foulquier, Lion\u2019s Den is a new vinyl lounge designed for those who really want to listen to the music. Inspired by early-2000s New York clubs and a pre-glossy era of Miami nightlife, Lion’s Den aims to evoke late-night house party vibes where the DJ is not just there for background music.<\/p>\n

Lion\u2019s Den will run on a Danley Sound Labs system designed for depth, clarity and immersion. Foulquier will lead programming with Mariana Pinto of Alchemy Music, pulling from a global network of DJs. The musical lineup will include experimental, disco, funk, soul and house sets, as guest DJs will rotate in weekly from Berlin, Mexico City, the Burning Man circuit and others. Berlin selector Heimlich Kn\u00fcller is on tap for January, followed by Mark Farina spinning a rare all-vinyl Mushroom Jazz set. Miami talent like Nico Bernardini and Nikita Green will also make appearances.<\/p>\n

The club’s design is equally impressive. The room is layered with Persian rugs, brass accents, plush seating and just enough light. A wall of vinyl anchors the space, while photography from Jay Blakesberg and Morrison Hotel Gallery nods to musical history. A guest-list-only model will keep the vibes intimate\u00a0at the\u00a0five tables on premise. The bar will offer focused cocktails\u2014including Persian-inspired options\u2014and a curated wine list featuring both benchmark producers and lesser-known regions.<\/p>\n

Paired with Fooq\u2019s downstairs, Lion\u2019s Den\u00a0will be the perfect end to\u00a0a full night out: dinner, drinks, music and lingering into the wee hours over high-quality sounds.<\/p>\n

Lion’s Den is located at 150 NW 73rd Street and will be open Thursday to Sunday, 10pm until late.<\/p>\n
