Florida State University and Tallahassee City Manager Reese Goad have agreed to a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) <\/a>that will serve as the basis for the transfer of all city-owned hospital assets currently leased to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Inc. (TMH)<\/p>\n

FLORIDA NEWS<\/p>\n

The Council on American-Islamic Relations has filed a lawsuit alleging an executive order issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis that designated the group as a \u201cterrorist\u201d organization<\/a> is unconstitutionally \u201cpunitive and discriminatory\u201d and exceeded the governor\u2019s authority.<\/p>\n

With a judge slated to hear arguments this week, the state is trying to short-circuit constitutional challenges to a new law that blocks cities and counties from approving \u201cmore restrictive or burdensome\u201d changes to growth plans.<\/a><\/p>\n
