Founded in 2017 by Nick Katz, Pres Rodriguez, and Adrian Douzmanian, it has collaborated with the Miami Dolphins, Versailles, and Mac’s Club Deuce over the years. The late Virgil Abloh was an early supporter of the brand, and the clothing has even popped up on shows like HBO’s Euphoria.

But Andrew’s latest collection might be its most Miami yet. This month, the brand dropped its collaboration with local strip club Booby Trap, featuring eight pieces ranging from T-shirts ($65) and booty shorts ($60) to a skate deck ($100) shaped like a stack of Styrofoam cups.

The collaboration shouldn’t come as a surprise. Booby Trap is one of Miami’s most frequented adults-only businesses, with four locations across South Florida. The most famous one is Booby Trap on the River (615 NW South River Dr., Miami), which is open 24/7 and has hosted celebrities like Drake, Offset, Rick Ross, Cardi B, and Kodak Black.

“Andrew consistently works with brands that we feel are iconic establishments in the city, brands that shape the very fabric of what makes Miami such a unique place to come from as a local,” says Daniel El Yamen, brand manager at Andrew. “We have worked with Versailles, Mac’s Club Deuce, the Scottish Rite Temple — all legendary spots that locals and out-of-towners adore as quintessentially Miami.”

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.

For the Miami Princess in your life.

The collection leans tongue-in-cheek, with T-shirts emblazoned with “Miami Princess” and “I ❤️ BBLs.” The Styrofoam-shaped skatedeck feels more like a piece you’d hang on a wall than one you’d actually grind at your local skate park. Overall, the collection seems fitting for a strip club with the highly unserious name “Booby Trap.”

“Booby Trap is that club as far as strip clubs go, and strip club culture runs deep in our city,” adds El Yamen. “With multiple locations and multiple brands, it has been in people’s lives for decades…And with the following and clientele BT’s has been attracting lately, it is now world-famous.”

According to El Yamen, the collection came together after a fortuitous meeting between Katz and owner Gregg Berger during a Dolphins game last year. The collection was heavily inspired by the merchandise Andrew encountered during a series of summer pop-ups in Europe.

“We saw the popularity of ‘I heart’ shirts dominating fashion all over. We started thinking about what a Miami version of that we could be, and ‘I heart BBLs’ came up,” El Yamen shares. “We ran with that seed of an idea — Miami is the BBL capital of America — and built a collection around it.”

Because Andrew plans these collections as one-offs, once pieces sell out, they’ll be gone for good. Still, El Yamen says a second collaboration with Booby Trap isn’t out of the question.

Andrew.
