ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 The city of St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay Collard Green Festival Inc. are getting ready for their annual parade celebrating and honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 39th annual parade called “The Power of A Dream” will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2026. The parade travels through downtown St. Pete and will culminate at Tropicana Field.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The parade route goes west on First Avenue South from Third Avenue South to 16th Street South, then it goes south on 16th Street to Third Avenue South.<\/p>\n
It will feature floats, marching bands and cultural performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A news release said this year will feature two distinguished HBCU marching bands from Tuskegee University and Alabama A&M University. There will also be a special appearance by the Wendell Scott Foundation with a historic racing car, honoring the legacy of the first African American NASCAR driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n
