ENGLEWOOD, Colo. \u2014 The Broncos have officially regained a key offensive lineman.<\/p>\n
Denver activated guard Ben Powers from injured reserve to the 53-man roster on Saturday, the team announced.<\/p>\n
The Broncos also elevated quarterback Sam Ehlinger and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.<\/p>\n
Denver also signed guard Calvin Throckmorton to the practice squad after he was waived earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Powers, who suffered a biceps injury in Week 5 against the Eagles, was designated for return from injured reserve and returned to practice ahead of Week 15.<\/p>\n
“Understand this: There’s always that transition period,” Head Coach Sean Payton said Friday about Powers’ return to game action. “So, we’re never going to throw someone in there for 65 [plays]. There’s that transition period for anyone who’s coming off an injury like that.”<\/p>\n
Prior to his injury, Powers started 39 consecutive games for the Broncos after signing with the team ahead of the 2023 season.<\/p>\n
Ehlinger was also elevated in Week 15, while Turner-Yell has not previously been elevated this season. Turner-Yell has appeared in 30 career games for the Broncos, with his last regular-season action coming in 2023.<\/p>\n
