{"id":92301,"date":"2025-12-22T11:03:50","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T11:03:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/92301\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T11:03:50","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T11:03:50","slug":"19-year-old-suspect-arrested-in-fatal-shooting-at-rv-resort-in-tampa-hcso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/92301\/","title":{"rendered":"19-year-old suspect arrested in fatal shooting at RV resort in Tampa: HCSO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office (HCSO) announced Friday an update to the fatal shooting that Tampa Bay 28 has been covering since it was <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay28.com\/news\/region-hillsborough\/deputies-investigating-homicide-after-man-shot-dead-in-tampa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives have arrested and charged 19-year-old Malik Rashad Cook in connection to the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Talando House at Happy Traveler RV Resort &amp; Cabins on East Fowler Avenue back in late June.<\/p>\n<p>According to HCSO, deputies responded to a shooting at the RV resort just before midnight on June 29. House was transported to St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital Main, where he was pronounced deceased just before 2:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis suspect may have believed he escaped accountability, but our detectives remained relentless,\u201d said Sheriff Chad Chronister. \u201cWhile nothing can undo this family\u2019s loss, we hope this arrest provides some measure of comfort as the case moves forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pasco Sheriff\u2019s Office aided HCSO detectives in locating and arresting Cook on Thursday, Dec. 18.
