KISSIMMEE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A mother from Fort Myers is behind bars after a shocking poolside confrontation at a hotel, where she allegedly retaliated against another child by forcibly dunking him underwater.<\/p>\n

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the Gaylord Palms Hotel pool on Friday at around 4:30 p.m. after receiving reports of battery involving a child. <\/p>\n

Witnesses told deputies that three children were playing in the pool when the situation turned aggressive. <\/p>\n

Officials say that Tiffany Lee Griffith, 36, became involved after her 6-year-old son was allegedly dunked underwater by a boy of the same age. <\/p>\n

Griffith then reportedly entered the pool, confronted the boy, and forcibly dunked him underwater for several seconds.<\/p>\n

The victim was apparently visibly shaken and suffering from a nosebleed, and reported the incident to his parents as soon as he exited the pool. <\/p>\n

Following the altercation, Griffith reportedly yelled at the victim’s mother before leaving the area.<\/p>\n

Deputies said that they located Griffith, who was subsequently arrested and accused of aggravated child abuse.
