TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – With Christmas just days away, Santa and his elves spread holiday cheer at Dorothy B. Oven Park Monday evening.<\/p>\n
Elf Night, initially scheduled for last Thursday, is an annual, highly anticipated event that draws large crowds. <\/p>\n
Due to the popularity of the event, law enforcement officials like Tallahassee Police Department Detective Michael Carter emphasized traffic safety and said traffic delays are expected. <\/p>\n
\u201cI know when we\u2019re sitting in traffic waiting for traffic, we\u2019re more inclined to pick up our phones, text, check emails, check social media, but I would encourage you not to do so because there are a lot of people in the area. We want everyone to get home safely,\u201d Carter said.<\/p>\n
