One of the region\u2019s longest-running cultural festivals will return for its 35th year in Fort Myers next year, and they are looking for help to make that possible now.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndia Fest\u00a0was founded by the\u00a0India Association of Fort Myers, a nonprofit organization established in 1987 by members of the local Indian community. Through the dedication and vision of its founders and the continued efforts of volunteers and supporters over the years, the organization has grown steadily. The ongoing support of sponsors, partners, and volunteers has made it possible for India Fest \u2014 our flagship event \u2014 to be presented on a grand scale. After a brief hiatus following the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival was successfully revived in 2024 and continues to grow in popularity,\u201d India Association of Fort Myers President Dr. Shaila Singh said.<\/p>\n
The event is set to take place Saturday, March 24, at the Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., in Fort Myers. India Fest 2026 is a vibrant cultural festival that showcases the rich traditions of India through its cuisine, clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, music and dance.<\/p>\n
The nonprofit organization is seeking a variety of sponsorship opportunities for the festival, which include monetary sponsorships at Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There are additional media sponsorship opportunities through radio, television, print and digital platforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Singh said they are also seeking in-kind sponsorships such as printing, audiovisual equipment, or banded gift bags, activity sponsorships featuring interactive elements like photo booths or workshops, and merchandise giveaways with branded items.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdvertising space is also available in the festival\u2019s souvenir book for individuals, families, and businesses wishing to demonstrate their commitment to community engagement and cultural enrichment. We can tailor the sponsorships based on the business requirements and very open to discuss the same,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
India Fest 2026 will feature the theme\u00a0\u201cRoyal India,\u201d\u00a0highlighting the monarchy of various regions of the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe festival will explore India\u2019s royal heritage, the immense wealth and history through stories, photographs, and text, showcasing majestic palaces with intricate architecture, which will also be present in the souvenir booklet,\u201d Singh said. \u201cAs a true celebration of Indian culture, the festival will include food vendors offering aromatic and flavorful Indian cuisine, along with booths featuring exotic jewelry, traditional and fusion clothing, and finely crafted handicrafts. Live music and classical and contemporary dance performances will captivate audiences on the amphitheater stage at Alliance for the Arts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The mission of the India Fest has always been to strengthen diversity and foster social cohesion in helping to build a stronger and more connected community here in Southwest Florida, she added.<\/p>\n
The proceeds from the festival will help support local charities like the Harry Chapin Food Bank, Meals of Hope, American Red Cross, the Humane Society, Sehgal Foundation.<\/p>\n
