ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 There\u2019s nothing in the air tonight.<\/p>\n
How do we know that? Well, earlier this year, Florida passed a law requiring airports to document any \u201cgeoengineering and weather modification activities,\u201d like chemtrails.<\/p>\n
\u201cChemtrails\u201d has already been debunked by mainstream science. It\u2019s the claim that organizations are secretly using aircraft to spray the atmosphere with harmful chemicals.<\/p>\n
You might recognize the long, line-shaped clouds in the sky known as \u201ccontrails.\u201d They\u2019re formed when hot, humid exhaust from jet engines meets extremely cold air.<\/p>\n

The Florida Legislature, however, wanted to make sure that was all those contrails were.<\/p>\n
The legislature passed SB 56<\/a> earlier this year. The law prohibits any sort of weather modification activities.<\/a> It makes spraying chemicals at high altitude a third-degree felony.<\/p>\n It also required Florida\u2019s public-use airports to start monitoring for said activities and submit reports to the Florida Department of Transportation starting in October.<\/p>\n According to a memorandum from the Florida Department of Transportation to the airports, dated Nov. 15, airports must affirm that they are conducting daily assessments for, \u201cthe physical presence of any aircraft equipped with components to support the intentional emission, injection, release, or dispersion of air contaminants into the state\u2019s atmosphere for the express purpose of affecting the temperature, weather, climate, or intensity of sunlight.\u201d <\/p>\n You can read the memorandum yourself by going HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n The state maintains a website called StopChemtrails.com<\/a>. There\u2019s a map on the site that shows every airport is in compliance, but that doesn\u2019t say whether the airports have found anything.<\/p>\n So starting in October, News 6 submitted public records requests, first to the Florida Department of Transportation, and then to the individual airports themselves.<\/p>\n The state finally returned two monthly reports in December, for October and November, and some of the airports also responded.<\/p>\n Two reports from St. Cloud\u2019s airport show the clouds are clean.<\/p>\n While the City of Sanford may have been dealing with a persistent smell<\/a> recently, the air at its airport? Nothing to report.<\/p>\n The air at DeLand\u2019s airport \u2014 no trace of chemtrails there, according to its report.<\/p>\n Kissimmee, Cocoa and New Smyrna Beach also all came up clean. <\/p>\n In fact, from Orlando International Airport to Umatilla Municipal Airport, every Central Florida airport we contacted reported no weather modification activity.<\/p>\n According to the public records, it\u2019s the same for every public airport in Florida. <\/p>\n To report, the airport staff file with a state site that ask about aircraft based at the airport, and aircraft stopping at the facility while in transit. <\/p>\n And in both reports, in both columns, every response is \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n No chemtrails, no secret spraying, no weather manipulation.<\/p>\n Just a lot of paperwork and, according to airport staff, a growing sense of confusion over what, exactly, the state is looking for, and how long the airports need to keep checking the \u201cno\u201d box.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve posted the October and November state reports at the end of this story. The report for December will come out in January.<\/p>\n Florida has had rules requiring a license for any weather modification activities since 1957. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection had never received an application for a permit or license. <\/p>\n Back in July, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier sent a letter to all public-use airports<\/a>, threatening the loss of state funding for infrastructure projects if the facilities did not comply with the new reporting rules.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause airports are most likely to catch those who seek to weaponize science in order to push their agenda, your compliance with these reporting obligations is essential to keeping our state safe from these harmful chemicals and experiments,\u201d Uthmeier wrote. \u201cWe need your help to keep our state free and make sure the skies belong to the people \u2014 not to private contractors, corporate experiments, or climate extremists.”<\/p>\n This morning, I sent a letter to all public-use airports in Florida addressing the state\u2019s new ban on weather modification.<\/p>\n This landmark legislation marks another victory for health, freedom, and environmental protection in Florida.<\/p>\n We expect full cooperation from our airports\u2026 pic.twitter.com\/VyL6FQjSuh<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Attorney General James Uthmeier (@AGJamesUthmeier) July 14, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n
