As they approached the scene along Skyline Boulevard, they learned a person was trapped and unconscious.\u201cMy husband rolled the window down and asked if everyone was OK,\u201d Howard said. \u201cWe pulled over and got out to help.\u201dHoward says a black Camaro was lodged against a tree in the median, trapping a 17-year-old driver inside the mangled vehicle. Just across the northbound lanes, a pickup truck had also slammed into the garage of a nearby home, leaving visible damage.\u201cThe accident was horrible,\u201d Howard said. \u201cThe driver had blood on him.\u201dWhile waiting for first responders, Howard says her husband placed his hand on the teen\u2019s head and prayed. Within minutes, the unconscious teen opened his eyes just before emergency crews arrived.Howard later heard from the teen\u2019s father, who said his son suffered a broken wrist and needed stitches but is expected to recover.We&#8217;ve reached out to the Cape Coral Police Department to learn what led to the crash and whether anyone else was hurt.
