told CBS 12<\/a>.<\/p>\nResponding officers found her just before 8 p.m. \u201cwith a knife embedded in her back inside the store,\u201d the affidavit said. She was pronounced dead in a hospital just before 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
The store\u2019s surveillance cameras caught Moore running off to nearby woods, where he was quickly arrested, police said. <\/p>\n
Moore \u201cwillfully admitted to stabbing a woman in the back inside Barnes and Noble and running out of the store,\u201d the affidavit said \u2014 saying he had \u201cno prior interaction\u201d with or motive to kill her.<\/p>\n
He instead blamed a psychotic \u201cinternal build up\u201d that made him pick on \u201cthe closest person in the store,\u201d investigators said in the affidavit.<\/p>\n

The homeless suspect, who arrived by bus from Georgia just a week earlier, was charged with premeditated first-degree murder, records show. He is being held without bond and is due in court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Police told the victim\u2019s husband that the suspect has a history of mental illness and had been living in the woods, he told CBS 12.<\/p>\n
The brutal, random attack left other Barnes & Noble customers terrified.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s terrible that anybody can\u2019t walk into a regular store without being fearful of being stabbed,\u201d a customer who only gave the first name David told CBS 12.<\/p>\n
