Traffic will be slowed near Lake Mary Blvd., south of Dirksen Drive, and on the ramp to I-95.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">ORLANDO, Fla. &#8211; Traffic along portions of eastbound Interstate 4 was slowed significantly on Thursday by law enforcement as they conducted an investigation linked to a deadly hit-and-run that happened earlier in October.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) said traffic was at times slowed to below 20 mph or brought to a complete stop between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"WOFL\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">A spokesperson for FHP confirmed that the investigation was related to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/3-dead-including-flagler-county-official-his-wife-after-hit-and-run-crash-i-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">deadly hit-and-run<\/a> that killed three people on Oct. 4, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/3-dead-including-flagler-county-official-his-wife-after-hit-and-run-crash-i-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Flagler County Deputy Administrator Jorge Salinas<\/a> and his wife.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">That crash happened near mile marker 108.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/8208790C306AC7ED47109A8089EDED54.jpg\" alt=\"5 dead in 3 crashes on I-4 across Central Florida over 48 hours\" class=\"sr-only\" data-v-7a5d4fdb=\"\"\/>  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/video\/1719818\" data-v-7a5d4fdb=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">5 dead in 3 crashes on I-4 across Central Florida over 48 hours<\/a> <\/p>\n<p data-v-7a5d4fdb=\"\">Central Florida saw a deadly 48 hours on Interstate 4, with five people killed in three separate crashes across three counties. A multi-vehicle pileup late Saturday night blocked I-4 and claimed multiple lives.
