Do you love jigsaw puzzles? Teams of up to four people will compete in a 500-piece puzzle race. Complimentary refreshments will be provided and prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Participants may bring up to two puzzle trays. If you do not have a team and are open to joining one, you may be paired up with others. Sponsored by the Friends of the Pine Island Public Library. Tech Thursdays: One-on-One Help<\/p>\n

Need help with a phone, tablet or laptop? Are you looking to gain basic computer skills? We can help with a 15-minute, one-on-one technology help session. Bring your own fully charged device and any passwords or use a library computer to receive direct instruction. Registration is required.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Holocaust Survivor Stories<\/p>\n
2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17<\/p>\n
Presented in partnership with the Holocaust Museum and Cohen Education Center, this powerful program features a firsthand account from Shelley Lieb, daughter of Holocaust survivors Marta and Mayer Zelcer. Join us as she shares their stories and fulfills a call to make sure the tragedy of the Holocaust continues to be told. Registration is required.<\/p>\n

Join us for a special storytime and meet author Deana Plaskon, a St. James City resident. She is the creator of the children\u2019s book series \u201cBella and Bird the Emotion Explorers.\u201d Inspired by what her horse, Bella, endured with Hurricane Ian on Pine Island, Deana wrote this children\u2019s book series to help children navigate big emotions with courage, hope and heart. Enjoy a read-aloud, calming activities, coloring and a meet and greet with the author. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Registration is required.<\/p>\n
