Caracas Bakery<\/a> has made a name for itself by appearing where you least expect it. The beloved Venezuelan bakery \u2014 known for its cachitos that inspire line-worthy devotion, laminated croissants, and hefty sandwiches \u2014 has spent the past year popping up in Miami <\/a>with a series of\u00a0pop-ups\u00a0that always seem to vanish too quickly. <\/p>\n Its latest one, however, is sticking around. After a test run during Art Basel, Caracas Bakery has decided to extend its Sunset Harbour pop-up indefinitely, and it might be its coolest location yet.<\/p>\n Photo by Michelle Muslera<\/p>\n The setup is unlike any of their other locations. This iteration operates out of Le Basilic, a restaurant that no longer opens during the day and now functions as a bar at night. That means Caracas Bakery gets the run of the space every Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until sellout, which usually hits by mid-afternoon. <\/p>\n The menu currently features a selection of pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and fresh juices. Seating has always been Caracas Bakery\u2019s Achilles\u2019 heel. The Coral Gables shop is famously compact, offering little more than a counter and a few precious spots. MiMo has more space, but weekend tables remain a competitive sport. At Sunset Harbour, guests can spread out across an open-air patio filled with couches, greenery, and shade, the kind of lush setup that invites lingering. It\u2019s pet-friendly, stroller-friendly, and comfortable enough to work from, a rarity for a bakery known primarily for grab-and-go foot traffic.<\/p>\n The neighborhood already has strong bakery representation with True Loaf and Maman, but Caracas Bakery brings a devoted following of its own. For many locals, the idea of snagging a cachito without hunting for a table feels like a small luxury. Whether you want a slow breakfast, a sunny spot to camp out for a few hours, or just a relaxed place to meet friends, this extended pop-up gives Sunset Harbour something it didn\u2019t know it was missing.
