Insider Elliotte Friedman tells us it&#8217;ll be an eight-year extension with a $6.75M AAV.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Good afternoon\u2026belated Christmas gift in Tampa Bay for JJ Moser, who is having a great season.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing he is closing in on an eight-year, $6.75M AAV extension with the Lightning.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FriedgeHNIC\/status\/2005039712755679536?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">December 27, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moser, in his second year with the Bolts, is having a tremendous season, with a plus\/minus rating of +24 through 34 games, with 12 points, and a career-high 21:43 average ice time logged per night.<\/p>\n<p>Moser, 25, has stepped up big-time this season, helping to make up for the repeated absence of top d-man Victor Hedman, who is out once again and not expected to return until February. Hedman has only played 18 games.<\/p>\n<p>Moser came to Tampa last season, and made a big impression, posting a +20 rating in 54 games, while blocking 70 shots. He played an average of 18:51 per game.
