AND THAT IS BECAUSE, ONE, WE’RE DEALING WITH WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG, AND TWO, THAT VISIBILITY IS GOING TO DROP DOWN TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS, AND THAT FOG IS GOING TO BE QUITE STUBBORN THIS MORNING. HERE’S A LOOK AT VISIBILITIES RIGHT NOW. LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE VISIBILITY IN ORLANDO AS WELL AS IN DAYTONA BEACH, PALM COAST. THAT VISIBILITY IS NOW DOWN TO ZERO. SO IF YOU ARE TRAVELING THIS MORNING, GIVE YOURSELF SOME EXTRA TIME OR WAIT UNTIL ABOUT 10:00 FOR THAT FOG TO REALLY LIFT BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT ON THE ROADWAYS. I CAN TELL YOU PERSONALLY MYSELF, IT WAS SO THICK THIS MORNING ALONG I-4. THERE WERE TIMES THAT I COULDN’T EVEN SEE THE OVERPASS SIGNS. HERE’S A LIVE LOOK AT NEW SMYRNA BEACH THIS MORNING. LOOK HOW FOGGY IT IS. YOU CAN SEE THAT LOW CLOUD LAYER. AND THEN RIGHT ABOVE IT A CLEARING. SO WE ARE DEALING WITH STUBBORN FOG ALL ACROSS CENTRAL FLORIDA. NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE RIGHT NOW, 60 DEGREES IN NEW SMYRNA BEACH, 62 IN SANFORD. AND GOOD MORNING, SAINT CLOUD. AT LEAST IT’S A COMFORTABLE 58 TO START OFF YOUR SUNDAY MORNING. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE VERY MILD. WILL CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 70S. WE ARE GOING TO BE DEALING WITH JUST A VERY LIGHT WIND OUT OF THE WEST TODAY, AND THAT LIGHT WIND IS REALLY THE CULPRIT. ON WHY THAT FOG IS GOING TO BE SO STUBBORN THIS MORNING. IT’S GOING TO TAKE A WHILE TO MIX OUT, EVEN AFTER THE SUN RISES. SO IF YOU’RE HEADING OUT TO OUR LOCAL THEME PARKS, IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY TO GET OUTSIDE. LOTS OF SUNSHINE. ONCE WE CLEAR OUT THAT FOG LATE MORNING AND WE ARE LOOKING AT DRY CONDITIONS AS WELL. HOWEVER, A BIG WINTER BLAST IS HEADING OUR WAY, SO ENJOY THE MILD WEATHER TODAY AND TOMORROW BECAUSE COME TUESDAY, LOOK AT THIS. WE’RE ONLY GOING TO SEE A HIGH OF 62 DEGREES. NEW YEAR’S EVE MORNING IN ORLANDO WILL DROP DOWN TO 40 DEGREES AND A HIGH OF JUST 60 FOR YOUR HIGH. AND THEN THAT COLD CONTINUES INTO NEW YEAR’S DAY. AND THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS OF 2026. SO IT’S GOING TO BE A HUGE WINTER BLAST. AREAS NORTH OF ORLANDO WILL DROP DOWN TO AROUND 34 IN DELAND AND IN THE VILLAGES, 30 IN OCALA. COME WEDNESDAY MORNING, WHICH IS WHY WE DO HAVE IMPACT WEATHER AGAIN WEDNESDAY MORNING BECAUSE OF THE BRUTALLY COLD CONDITIONS AND THINGS DON’T IMPROVE FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE NIGHT. HERE’S A LOOK AS WE’RE ABOUT TO WELCOME IN 2026. RIGHT AROUND 1159. SO JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT, AS WE WELCOME IN THE NEW YEAR, TEMPERATURES WILL BE HOVERING RIGHT AROUND THE MID 40S IN ORLANDO. BUT FEELING COLDER THAN THAT BECAUSE OF THAT BREEZE OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHWEST. SO TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR CENTRAL FLORIDA CERTIFIED MOST ACCURATE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. REALLY MILD CONDITIONS TODAY, A WARM DAY AHEAD FOR MONDAY. THEN THAT COLD FRONT ARRIVES LATE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. AND THAT’S GOING TO BRING THAT VERY COLD AIR OUR WAY. IMPACT WEATHER WEDNESDAY MORNING BECAUSE OF THE FRIGID TEMPERATURES. THAT’S A LOOK FOR INLAND. LOOK AT THE AREAS ALONG THE COAST. DAYTONA BEACH. WE COULD DROP DOWN TO THE MID 30S WEDNESDAY MORNING. IT IS GOING TO B

Impact Weather: Dense Fog Advisory In Place Until 10 a.m.

   Updated: 6:37 AM EST Dec 28, 2025

  Editorial Standards ⓘ

A dense fog advisory is in place for all of Central Florida Sunday morning until 10 a.m. Visibilities will drop to one-quarter of a mile or less throughout the morning.
