Tampa, FL – A school bus carrying 29 students collided with an SUV Thursday morning in Tampa, sending four people to the hospital, including two students and both drivers. <\/p>\n
The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of 43rd Street and Hanna Avenue.<\/p>\n
Tampa police reported that the driver of a Dodge Durango allegedly experienced a medical episode, causing the vehicle to veer in front of the bus and strike its front driver\u2019s side. <\/p>\n
Emergency responders transported the SUV driver to a nearby hospital with a broken leg and additional injuries. <\/p>\n
He is currently in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n
Two students sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital for evaluation. <\/p>\n
The bus driver suffered minor injuries and received medical attention at the hospital as well.<\/p>\n
Following the crash, most of the students were transported to school, where counseling services were made available. <\/p>\n
Other students were sent home after the incident.<\/p>\n
