Weather Impact Alerts are in effect for Wednesday (New Year\u2019s Eve) and Thursday morning (New Year\u2019s Day), with temperatures in the 30s inland, freezing temperatures along the Nature Coast, and wind chills making it feel even colder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
To prepare, counties across Tampa Bay are opening free cold weather shelters for anyone in need of a warm place to stay.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nCitrus County cold weather shelters <\/p>\n
The Citrus County cold weather shelter will be open Monday, Dec. 29, through Thursday, Jan. 1, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.\u00a0Hot meals, a warm sleep area, showers and snacks will be available. Call 352-234-3099 for more info.<\/p>\n
