Pine Island Elementary School was buzzing with excitement Tuesday, Dec. 16, as students and families gathered for a memorable STEM Night filled with hands-on learning and community involvement.<\/p>\n
Students had the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math through a variety of interactive activities, including an immersive experience in the STAR Lab. <\/p>\n
The evening also featured several special guests who brought learning to life beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n
Adam\u2019s Animal Encounters delighted students with a mini-zoo, giving families a close-up look at a variety of animals while learning about wildlife. <\/p>\n
Calusa Waterkeeper shared valuable lessons on the importance of oysters and their role in maintaining a healthy environment. <\/p>\n
Calusa Land Trust educated students about gopher tortoises and the vital role they play in Florida\u2019s ecosystem.<\/p>\n
Families also enjoyed food provided by Pine Island Pizza and Winn-Dixie, adding to the festive and welcoming atmosphere of the event.<\/p>\n
A BIG thank you goes to PIE teacher Regina Notarianni for organizing such an outstanding evening. Her dedication helped create a fun, educational experience that families truly enjoyed. STEM Night at Pine Island Elementary was a wonderful evening of learning, exploration and community connection.<\/p>\n
