Oneida County dairy farmer and American Dairy Association North East board president Audrey Donahoe of Clayville-based ATRASS Farm, proudly represented New York’s dairy community at The Armory Track & Field Center during the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Officials Hall of Fame Invitational, held January 9-10 in New York City. The event, sponsored by American Dairy Association North East (ADA North East), drew more than 4,500 student-athletes from across New York State and the Northeast, and was held in celebration of National Milk Day on Sunday, Jan. 11. Throughout the two-day meet, athletes were offered Hudson Valley Fresh chocolate milk and Cabot Cheese samples, courtesy of ADA North East, showcasing the role dairy plays in fueling athletic performance and recovery through its naturally occurring essential nutrients. Donahoe was one of five New York State dairy farmers and dairy ambassadors invited to participate, representing family dairy farms from across the state. As a guest of ADA North East, she received a behind-the-scenes tour of The Armory – often referred to as the “Fastest Track in the World” – and was recognized during the opening ceremony. Donahoe also took part in on-field activities, including presenting awards and holding the finish line tape for select races.
