John Harbaugh left the New York Giants’ headquarters in East Rutherford on Wednesday without a head coaching contract, bringing an end — for now — to an intense, day-long interview process.

The former Baltimore Ravens coach, who recently parted ways with the organization after an 18-year run that included a Super Bowl title, arrived Wednesday morning on a private jet owned by Giants co-owner Steve Tisch. It was Harbaugh’s first in-person head coaching interview since his Baltimore exit.

Despite aggressive efforts by the Giants — including reported willingness to meet Harbaugh’s expected $20-plus million annual salary demands and accommodate his preferred staff — no deal was finalized.

Insiders described a “massive push” from New York to close an agreement on-site, but Harbaugh departed without one.

Harbaugh is now expected to continue the process with meetings involving the Tennessee Titans on Thursday and/or the Atlanta Falcons later this week.

However, his exit does not close the door on the Giants; Harbaugh has been deliberate and transparent about his timeline, and further talks remain possible.
