A Bronx teacher was among three men recently arrested for possession of child pornography in Westchester County, according to police.

Prosecutors say 39-year-old Bent Michol worked at the Collegiate Institute for Math & Science.

The Department of Education told News 12 that he has been reassigned and away from students since his arrest.

The department also provided a statement. It read in part, “the safety and well-being of our students remain our utmost priority, and we expect all staff to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and conduct.”

A 32-year-old school custodian and a 41-year-old man were also taken into custody, according to police.

The District Attorney says the three cases are unrelated.
