OAKLEY, Kan. (WIBW) – A man suffered serious injuries early Friday in a head-on crash in western Kansas, authorities said.
The collision was reported at 12:52 a.m. Friday on US-40 highway about 10 miles west of Oakley in Logan County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, a 2010 Chevrolet Impala was westbound on US-40 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2024 Kenworth semitrailer.

The driver of the Impala, Jaylen Z. Cruse, 23, of Manhattan, was transported to Colby Medical Center in Colby with serious injuries.
The driver of the semitrailer, Mouanoutoua Van Pein, 34, of Thornton, Colorado, was reported uninjured.
The patrol said both drivers were alone in their vehicles and that both were wearing their seat belts.
