BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A family member has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of 85-year-old Julie Boomer in Brooklyn, according to police.
Jackson King, 22, is facing charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to arrest records.
On Tuesday, the 85-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her Brooklyn apartment. Her daughter called 911 after finding the victim with multiple stab wounds at her residence on Throop Avenue near Decatur Street, police said.
Boomer was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, police said.
PIX11 News reported the victim’s grandson was taken into custody for questioning but not charged, sources say.
It remains unclear whether King is the grandson; however, police sources confirmed to PIX11 News that King is related to the murder victim.
