BROOKLYN, New York — Kianna Underwood, a former “All That” and “Little Bill” actress, died early Friday when she was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Brooklyn, New York, People reported.
According to the magazine, police received a call about the incident just before 7 a.m. in the Brownsville neighborhood, where officers and emergency personnel found Underwood with severe injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene,
Variety reported that a gray SUV was driving westbound when it hit Underwood as she crossed at an intersection, dragging her under the vehicle before the driver fled without stopping. No arrests have been made, and the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad continues the inquiry.
Underwood, 33, began her entertainment career as a child performer, appearing in seven episodes of the Nickelodeon sketch series “All That” during its 2005 season. She also provided the voice of Fuchsia Glover in the animated children’s program “Little Bill” and appeared in films including “The 24 Hour Woman.”
Underwood later toured nationally with the musical “Hairspray” and worked in television and voice acting before stepping away from the spotlight.
Investigators said video and witness accounts are being reviewed to identify the driver and determine the circumstances leading up to the hit-and-run. Police reiterated that the case remains open and urged anyone with information to contact authorities.
