Irondequoit, N.Y. — The Mobile Museum of Tolerance hosted an educational workshop on Saturday at East Irondequoit Middle School.
“Educate to Empower” is an immersive, facilitator-led workshop focused on teaching tolerance.
Delivered in a state-of-the-art traveling classroom, the workshops guide students through interactive lessons. In these lessons, students explore intolerance, discrimination, and moral courage while being encouraged to think critically and engage in respectful dialogue.
Students examine both historical and contemporary examples of intolerance and, through discussions and hands-on learning, reflect on their own roles in building more inclusive and respectful school communities.
