QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — An MTA conductor was hospitalized after an unprovoked attack at a Queens Subway station on Sunday night, according to police.

Around 5:45 p.m., the No. 7 train was pulling into the 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue station when the conductor stuck his head out of the window.

Upon doing so, an unknown male began repeatedly punching the conductor in the face, police said. The man then fled the area.

The conductor was taken to a nearby hospital. Officials did not provide the conductor’s condition.

There were no arrests at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
