I may not be able to hop in the car and head down to Minneapolis for Minnesota Frost home games all the time, but Friday night reminded me that distance doesn’t dull pride.

Watching from Central Minnesota, I still felt every moment of that hard-fought overtime win as the Frost continued to prove why they belong near the top of the PWHL standings.

THE FROST FREEZE THE SIRENS

Once again, the Minnesota Frost found a way to rise when it mattered most. Friday night, after I returned home from an exciting win by the St. Cloud Noresmen, I turned on the Frost.

That ability to stay composed, even when games tighten up, I think, is what separates good teams from championship teams. This Frost roster, with many of them making the USA Olympic Hockey Team in 2026, keeps showing that they understand that.

Minnesota struck first and answered every challenge New York threw at them. When the Sirens found ways to push back and force the game into overtime, the Frost didn’t look rattled. They looked Confident. The Frost ended up beating the Sirens in overtime 3-2.

I think that’s something you don’t always see this early in the season, but it’s becoming a familiar feeling with this team. I feel like they are gaining momentum at just the right time if they want to take home the Walter Cup for a third year in a row. I believe they can do it!

Wins like this don’t just add points in the standings. They build belief. They reinforce trust between teammates. They remind everyone watching that Minnesota hockey, especially women’s hockey, deserves attention.

THE FROST ARE NOW IN SECOND PLACE

Now sitting in second place, the Frost are doing more than winning games. They’re showing that consistency and teamwork matters.

I don’t think that this year’s Frost is chasing last year’s success. I think that they are looking at this as building something new on top of their past success.

THE MINNESOTA FROST ARE ON A ROLL

If you’ve been watching from your couch as I have, you know exactly what I mean. And if you haven’t tuned in yet, you should. The Frost are rolling, and this season is shaping up to be something special once again.
