NEW YORK (PIX11) — The northern lights may be visible on Monday night in New York and New Jersey, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

While parts of northern New Jersey and the area north of New York City will likely have the best chance of witnessing the geomagnetic storm, downstate New Yorkers could catch a glimpse of the event as well.
