The game’s still on! Chess on Broadway has released a new block of tickets, with seats now available through June 14, 2026. Get Chess tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
Chess stars Aaron Tveit as Freddie Trumper and Nicholas Christopher as Anatoly Sergievsky, an American and a Soviet world chess champion battling for renown, the pride of their countries, and the love of the woman caught between them, Florence Vassey (Lea Michele).
“Chess features three of the most talented people on Broadway right now, and just to see them shine in the ’80s rock musical is enough of a reason to go,” our critic wrote.
Chess has played at the Imperial Theatre in October 2025, marking the show’s first revival. This production features a new book by Danny Strong and a beloved score by Tim Rice (lyrics) and ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (music), containing hit songs like “Someone Else’s Story,” “Anthem,” “Nobody’s Side,” and “Pity the Child.”
