MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was being held on a total bond of $1.2 million in the Riley County Jail following his arrest in connection with multiple drug crimes, officials said.
The man, identified as David Labombarbe, 39, of Manhattan, was booked around 2 p.m. Friday into the Riley County Jail in connection with offenses that included:
• Three counts of possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant
• One count for distribution or possession with intent to distribute heroin-fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school
• One count for distribution of opiate, narcotic, certain stimulant-heroin within 1,000 feet of a school,
• One count for distribution of a certain depressant within 1,000 feet of a school
• One count for distribution or possession of a substance
• One count for possession of drug paraphernalia
• One count for possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture, plant or cultivate a controlled substance
• One count for possession criminal use of weapons.

Officials on Friday said Labombarbe had been arrested and booked into the Riley County Jail on two occasions earlier this past week.
The original charges were filed on Dec. 30, 2025, officials said.
Riley County District Court revoked Labombarbe’s previous bond, officials said. He was then issued a total bond of $1.2 million and remained Tuesday in the Riley County Jail.
