Ogdensburg woman cited after alleged hit-and-run with an Amish buggy

  • January 20, 2026

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – An Ogdensburg woman was cited in an alleged hit and run with an Amish buggy in the town of Oswegatchie.

State Police say 34-year-old Joseph Miller was operating a buggy down Linden Street this past Friday when a vehicle, attempting to pass another car, entered Miller’s lane.

According to State Police, Miller attempted to avoid the collision but was struck. That vehicle left the scene.

Troopers say when they responded to the scene, they found debris that belonged to a Jeep Compass.

After an investigation, police learned the vehicle belonged to 26-year-old Bobbi Jean Seguin of Ogdensburg.

Miller was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Seguin was issued traffic law citations.
