Brooklyn Beckham made headlines over the weekend after releasing a lengthy statement on Instagram stories that addressed his long-rumored rift with his family. The 26-year-old accused his parents of “disrespecting” his wife, Nicola Peltz, while keeping up appearances to protect the family brand.

“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” Brooklyn wrote. “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first… even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”

The internet seems divided over whose side to take in the Beckham brouhaha, with some accusing David and Victoria Beckham of embarrassing their son, while others are urging Brooklyn to mend fences with the family, who have seemingly provided for him throughout his life.

Of course, many have also been quick to assign the “nepo baby” label to Brooklyn, and while it’s true the eldest Beckham son hasn’t exactly held a “real” job in his 26 years of life, he has been exploring his entrepreneurial roots with the launch of his hot sauce brand, Cloud23.

Cloud23 Hot Sauce Variety Pack

Cloud23 Hot Sauce Variety Pack

Inspired by Brooklyn’s love of cooking, the hot sauce is available in two varieties: hot habanero and sweet jalapeno.

We need to break it to you: we’ve tried Cloud23 hot sauce and it’s actually pretty good. Amazon reviewers seem to agree with Cloud23 earning a 4.6-star rating (out of five) from hundreds of verified shoppers.

The “Hot Habanero” flavor is spicy and zesty with an initial hit of heat that mellows out into a savory quality mid-bite. Cloud23 prides itself on only using natural and simple ingredients, and this varietal is made from red jalapeno peppers, vinegar, lemon, lime and sea salt. The “Sweet Jalapeno” flavor, meantime, adds brown sugar, garlic powder and apple cider vinegar to the ingredients list, making for a milder, tangier profile.

We’ve added generous helpings of Cloud23 hot sauce on our eggs, burgers, pastas and stews, and it’s great with meats too. The brand says everything is certified organic with no GMOs.

Cloud 23 launched in late 2024 and while Brooklyn is said to have created the hot sauce on his own, he did tap into his famous family for inspiration. Per the brand, the name “Cloud 23” refers to an “elevated” hot sauce experience, while the 23 is an homage to his father, David, who wore the number 23 when he played soccer for Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.

Brooklyn Beckham: What I See

This isn’t Brooklyn’s first “independent” foray: in 2017, the influencer and one-time model released a book of photographs, titled “What I See.” Featuring 300 personal photographs from his travels, family gatherings and day-to-day life, the book was published by Rizzoli.

In 2023, meantime, Brooklyn was named as one of the co-founders of the canned sake brand, WESAKE, telling Rolling Stone that “I’ve always had a profound respect and intrigue for Japanese culture.”

“I am by no means an expert – yet – but I’m thrilled to be on the journey of learning and sharing my passion,” he continued. “I want everyone to have that same feeling I did when I first tried sake.”

Speaking to Variety last year on the occasion of yet another launch — a custom Cloud 23 cocktail collaboration with Jefferson’s Straight Rye Whiskey — Brooklyn seemed to acknowledge his multiple career pivots, though he stressed that hot sauce was his true passion. “It doesn’t matter what you do and it doesn’t matter what age you find what you’re passionate about,” he said. “As long as you’re doing what you love, it’s the most important thing. And yeah, I tried a bunch of stuff out but I finally created this, and it’s what makes me happy.”

Cloud 23 is available now on Amazon and in select grocery stores.
