A portion of the I-90 near Dunkirk is closed until further notice due to multiple crashes.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Several vehicle crashes have closed all westbound lanes on the I-90 from Exit 57 to Exit 60 in Dunkirk until further notice, accord to New York State Police.
New York State Police say there are several crashes involving jackknifed tractor trailers and passenger vehicles. Drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
The New York State Thruway Authority is also urging drivers to avoid the area due to heavy lake effect snow.
Westbound traffic is currently being diverted at Exit 57 in Hamburg.

🚨 UPDATE (1:38pm): The traffic diversion has been extended to exit 57 (Hamburg). All westbound traffic traveling on I-90 must exit at exit 57 until further notice.
