The 2025 Illinois County Fair Queen is Miss Effingham County Krista Phillips. She was crowned at the conclusion of the competition held in Springfield.
Two other area queens were in the Top 15. They are Miss Fayette County Avery Myers and Miss Wayne County Kadence Smith.
Marion County Fair Board President Doug Telford said Ella Douglas represented Marion County well.
Marion County also had the junior and senior division talent show winners in attendance. While they didn’t place, Telford says they did a great job in entertaining the audience. They were Junior show winners 8-year-old Annie Vincent and Mahlaya Weston and 9-year-old Allyson Norman who performed a dance act and senior winner Zella Trinkle who played guitar and sang.
