Police have located the body of a North Country man who had been missing for more than a month. John “Jack” Miller was reported missing in September. According to the Malone Police Department, two hunters traveling along an ATV trail in the town of Brighton located a Subaru Forester on Oct. 18 that matched the description of Miller’s vehicle.The hunters contacted New York State Police, who responded to the scene and conducted an area search where they found Miller dead. The Malone Police Department said there were no signs of foul play and nothing suspicious was found at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause of death.The Malone Police Department offered condolences to the friends and family of Miller. Officials also thanked the New York State Police, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Environmental Conservation Police and Forest Rangers for assisting with the search.
