Brooklyn Beckham claimed his mother, Victoria Beckham, stole the spotlight away from his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz at their 2022 wedding by dancing “inappropriately” with him.
According to a new report by Page Six, one insider claimed the Spice Girls alum, 51, “nuzzled into [Brooklyn’s] neck” during a dance to a live performance by Marc Anthony.
“It was meant to be the big romantic first dance,” a second insider told the outlet in a story published on Tuesday, January 20. “It was pre-determined specifically for Nicola and Brooklyn.”

When Anthony, 57, took to the stage, however, he reportedly called Brooklyn up to dance with “the most beautiful woman in the room”: His mother.
“She was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the God’s truth,” the first insider told the outlet. “Nicola ran out crying. The Beckhams’ side of the room was cheering and the Peltz side was quiet…Nicola’s friends were saying ‘You have to go back down.’”
“Her face was swollen,” the first insider added. “She finally came down and was sad the entire evening, it was so heartbreaking.”

The outlet’s account closely aligns with Brooklyn’s statement, which he shared in a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, January 19.
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned for weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” the 26-year-old wrote. “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
