He is now suspended without pay from the NYPD, according to a department rep.

The sergeant’s lawyer, Peter Brill, told The Post on Tuesday, “It’s a sad state of affairs when you go out of your way to help someone and you wind up getting accused of sexual assault.

“Sgt. Ahmad didn’t have to go back to that apartment but he wanted to make sure his accuser had the resources she needed to avoid problems with the criminal justice system in the future. This is the thanks he got.”

Online records show that Ahmad joined the department in July 2019 and was reassigned to the Manhattan Court section early this month.
