NYPD: Shots fired on Staten Island damage window, booth of building

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Damage was reported at a building in Mariners Harbor after shots were fired late Tuesday night, according to police.

The incident was reported at 11:44 p.m. at 65 Holland Ave., according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Bullets damaged the front-door window and security booth at the location, the police spokeswoman said.

Ballistic evidence was recovered at the scene. The investigation continues Wednesday morning.

No injuries were reported to police.

The incident was unrelated to a person reported missing on that same block early on Wednesday morning. The missing person has been located, the police spokeswoman said.
