It seems more like a one-bedroom Manhattan apartment than a boat.
“So you lift this up and you discover that you have a cutting board and a sink. You lift this one up and you discover you have a dual grill. This is a television that flips down,” Carrie Waible said as she pointed out the features on the Regal LX43 motor yacht.

Waible is the spokesperson for the Discover Boating NY Boat Show. She says it’s for folks with serious luxury on the water in mind.
“It has all of these gorgeous bells and whistles — a beautiful cabin downstairs, and really something you want to indulge in if this is your life,” Waible said.
It’s one of hundreds of vessels at the show at the Javits Center in Manhattan. The show has been around since 1905, and is the world’s first and longest-running boat show.
It runs through Sunday, Jan. 25, and offers a chance to escape the cold for a preview of warmer days ahead.
“In the middle of winter, what do we want to do to escape these frigid temperatures? Jump inside and dream of summer,” Waible said.
There are boats for every budget and lifestyle. The Queen of the Show — the biggest boat at the show — is the Formula 457 CCF. It costs a little less than $2 million.
There are also pontoon boats, smaller family vessels and personal watercraft, like wave runners that cost much less.
Waible says it’s a great opportunity to board and check out different types of boats in a non-showroom situation.
“It’s a no pressure environment. You can actually just get your questions answered and really explore what’s right for you. And you can shop and compare these vessels side-by-side without having to spend your entire weekend going to dealership, dealership, dealership, dealership,” Waible said.
