MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man has been arrested in Manhattan in connection with a 2025 aggravated battery case, Riley County Police officials said Wednesday.
Russell Spears, 44, of Wamego, was arrested around 11:17 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery.

The arrest stems from a report originally filed in March of 2025, officials said.
Spears was issued a total bond of $6,000 and remained Wednesday morning in the Riley County Jail.
