In a series of posts on his Instagram story in January 2026, Brooklyn detailed the ongoing dispute with his parents and made several accusations against them, including that they put the family brand over “family love” and that his mother had pulled out of making his wife’s wedding dress at the “eleventh hour.”

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he wrote.”I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

He also said that his mother hijacked his first dance with Nicola at their 2022 wedding, saying that she “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone,” adding that he had “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

In response to the couple’s absence from David Beckham’s 50th birthday party, Brooklyn said they made multiple attempts to spend time with his father while in London, but were refused unless it was at the large party “with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.”

“When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited,” Brooklyn wrote.

Brooklyn said that his parents told him they did not consider his wife, Nicola, to be “family,” and alleged that they made repeated efforts to involve women from his past in his life after he began dating her.
