Officers found the baby in a stroller at a Dunkin’ at 1791 Westchester Ave. in Soundview at around 8:06 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The mother went back to Dunkin’ after realizing she had forgotten the baby, and the workers told her the child had been taken to the 43rd Precinct stationhouse, sources said.
When the woman went to the precinct, officers told her that EMS had transported the child from the precinct to the hospital to be checked. The mom and healthy baby were then reunited, sources said.
The woman told police she was taking another child to the doctor and forgot her son in the Dunkin’, sources said.
