NEW YORK (PIX11) — Mayor Zohran Mamdani was noncommittal on whether he would have a ‘traditional’ snow day or ‘virtual learning’ snow day should the coming weather system cause him to close school buildings next Monday.
He made the comments on Wednesday as part of a wide-ranging press conference he held where he also spoke about combatting “junk fees” on hotel bills, and the city’s shaky finances.

Mamdani said he would make a call for the roughly 900,000 student and their families as the forecast became clearer.
His predecessor, Mayor Eric Adams, generally opted for virtual education, though students often reported technical issues or simply did not log on.
