Miss Bond County Fair Kylie Doll participated in the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs State Queen Pageant in Springfield this past weekend.

Jenna Koontz, director of the Bond County Fair pageant, said Kylie competed very well.

Last Friday, Kylie was interviewed by pageant judges, and Saturday she was in the speech, swimsuit and evening gown events.  Queen Doll is the daughter of Amanda and Scott Doll of Pocahontas.

Seventy-five local queens were in this year’s state pageant.

The newly crowned state queen is Krista Phillips from Effingham County.  Avery Myers of Fayette County was in the top 16, Amanda Brink from Clinton County won the Best Stage Presence Award, and Maci Wolf from Washington County was presented the Best Communication Skills Award.
